Q: Who are the Nacogdoches Jaycees?
A: The Nacogdoches Jaycees are a volunteer group of young men ages 21 through 40 with a focus on leadership development through community service.
Q: How can I help the Nacogdoches Jaycees?
A: You can donate your time by showing up to any of our events or if you own a business you can offer to sponsor our efforts with money or goods.
Q: Why join the Jaycees?
A: The desire for involvement. To have a hand in identifying community needs and then planning and executing community service projects to remedy those situations. Leadership Training platform - Managing challenging community projects can be very rewarding. Meeting lots of new people, Networking - local, statewide, and even national/global (over 82 countries).Recognized by the Government and business leaders at every level as an organization which develops new community leaders through constructive action. Personal Growth - To learn how to accept responsibility, make decisions, become effective speakers, develop management techniques, be better employers, employees and better persons. Free Subscriptions to several magazines (such as Newsweek, Wired, Business Weekly, PC World, Self, etc.). Cost is minimal, most companies encourage and pay the annual dues to join professional clubs. Besides all of these previous reasons it is just FUN!!! We are a great, diverse group of guys that like to have fun.
